Coffee Crusted Steak

Ingredients

Steak:

  • 1-2 Ribeye Steaks
  • Canola Oil as needed
  • Sweet Potato Fries on the side

Chipotle Coffee Rub:

  • 2 tbsp Ground Coffee
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chipotle Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • Kosher Salt to taste

Cookie Butter:

  • 1 cup Kroger Chocolate Chip Cookies crumbled
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Cayenne Powder
  • Kosher Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients for your cookie butter to a bowl and mix. Set to the side until ready to use.
  • Mix together the chipotle coffee rub in a bowl. Slather your steaks with oil and generously season with the mixed seasoning. Set in the fridge until ready to cook.
  • Preheat a grill to medium-high heat (about 375F) for direct cooking.
  • Add your steak to the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side or until they are 120F. Once the steaks are done, top with cookie butter and pull off to rest.
  • Slice into your steaks and serve with sweet potato fries on the side. Enjoy!
