Honey Garlic Jalapeño Wings are plated and ready to be served.

These Honey Garlic Jalapeño Wings are one of my favorite at-home chicken recipes because they’re so simple and easy. They are the perfect party wings, because you can feed the masses with this easily scalable meal! Bake these chicken wings over the fire and toss them in a sweet and spicy Honey Garlic Jalapeño sauce. They’re so freakin delicious, and perfect for a chill night at home, the big game or any other party you might be having!

Why You’ll Love Honey Garlic Jalapeño Wings

I tweaked the recipe for these hot wings until it reached absolute perfection. The spicy sauce for these wings is made out of jalapeño peppers and some beer, plus honey to add a little bit of sweetness.

The wings evenly set out on the smoker so that they cook evenly.

A few Pro Tips:

  • Wings: I added cornstarch to the wings because it’ll help the wings get crispier in the smoker.
  • Honey Garlic Jalapeño Sauce: When making the sauce, keep stirring so that the sugar in the honey doesn’t burn.
  • Sour Cream Drizzle: Add water to the sour cream mixture to thin it out as needed so it spreads nicely over the wings. Alternatively, serve it as a dipping sauce on the side.

Honey Garlic Jalapeño Wings Ingredients

If this is your first time cooking chicken wings, remember that they do tend to have longer cook times. These tender baked chicken wings only take 10-15 minutes of prep, but they also take 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook.

A close of shot of the finished and garnished wings.

To create these spicy chicken wings, you’ll need whole wings with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch. You’ll toss them in a honey garlic jalapeño sauce made out of honey, beer, minced garlic, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, clarified butter, and lime juice.

You’ll garnish your wings with a mixture made out of mayonnaise, sour cream, hot sauce, lime juice, and water, as well as cilantro and chile con limon seasoning.

This recipe serves 4. Make sure to multiply it if you’re cooking for a large party!
